Best place to unwind in the city. East access from public transit, walking and biking. Many access points to different parking locations if one is full. Hike 2 different trails that parallel the creek or on Forbidden drive which is wide and winds along the creek. Watch birds in the water, go fishing, dip your feet in the water or go for a job. It's truly a gem.
Very Nice well kept easy trails along the Wissahickon River. It gives you the options of wide gravel road like trail or higher narrow trails amongst the rocky banks.
Lovely place for hiking
Great entrance. Sometimes we visit the horse that lives nearby. A wonderful view of a bridge under Henry Ave. Beautiful trails.
The park never disappoints. Living in Philadelphia during all four seasons makes it always interesting to walk, run or even crawl through the trail system. The park has so many interesting places to go and features to see. Today my running group went to lovers leap, the Lincoln drive trail, Forbidden drive, and the toleration statue. If you are on the fence about visiting this part of the park be reassured that the paths are well traveled and well marked and above all else the views are well worth your time.
