Ambler Extended Care has been a wonderful place for my Dad, who is also a Disabled Veteran…The staff is very warm, attentive, supportive and caring and there are several staff that go out of their way to ensure that my Dad is taken care of consistently…Kim from Admissions is absolutely Amazing! I can call on her at any time and she is always available to answer my questions and/or address any issues that may arise…Nurse Idell, Ayesha, Todd and Marcia have also been super awesome to date…Chris from PT who is new to the Team is doing a great job with my Dad who was very resistant to do any type of PT just a few weeks ago…I am very happy with the care that my Dad has been receiving thus far…

Ambler Extended Care facility has been taking care of my daughter’s mother in law. The staff taking care of her (Adell, Kim and Ayesha) are so caring and do a wonderful job at caring for her needs. The front desk staff (Val and Marcia) are always pleasant and helpful as well. I am so happy that she came to this facility for her long term care. Thank you, Ruth

10/31/22 - Update: Idell (day nurse), Kim (admissions) and Ayesha (RN) mother treat her like she is their grandmother. They dote in her and treat her very kind. She really likes them. Marcia and Val (front desk) are always pleasant and helpful when I call. Everyone is responsive and I feel blessed that my mother is in their care.

My mother was recently placed at Ambler Extended Care. Within 2 days we were given a care plan and I met with every one on her care team. It was hard when we had to place our mother into a long term care facility but it is so comforting that she has the support of such great people. I call often and Marcia is always pleasant. Julie (her physical therapist) has an entire plan in place to help her with her stability. Heidi (cognition/speech therapy) gave me a great suggestion about creating an album to brighten her day and to keep us close in between visits. Brandon (social services) is so professional and proactively asks for feedback about how we (as her family) feel about her care and transition. Sherita (nurse) went out of her way to let me know when mom was out of quarantine. Unis (nurse) gives us updates on how things are going. Lori and Maria have been such a pleasure to work with as we filled out our paperwork. Iesha (nurse) made sure we were aware of our Mom’s diagnosis and was available to answer any questions we have. Erin (her dietician) keeps us updated on her weight which is being monitored. Dawn (head of social activities) goes out of her way to make sure that my mom has her cell phone charged. Last but not least Kim (head of admissions) is the absolute sweetest and genuinely caring person. She is so thoughtful, she told me that my mom wasn’t watching much TV and I told her she LOVES TV. She asked me what she likes to watch and she told me she would make sure she turns the shows on for her when she is in the office. The entire care team at Ambler Extended Care is exceptional. They are proactive, efficient, the facility is clean and they just care! Our family is very close and our Mom means the world to us.... having her at this center has given us peace. They are a blessing and I am so glad that we were able to get my mom into their center.

My husband spent several days at Ambler Extended Care Center for Respite Care. I called to make an appointment to speak with Kim Webster about a reservation for his stay. She was very accommodating when I had to change the reservation due to a change in my plans. The staff was waiting for him when we arrived. They were ready to welcome him which made him more comfortable. Cindy reviewed everything with me and reassured me that he would be well taken care of during my absence. When I went to bring him home he was laughing and joking with the staff and left them with a "see you next time".

This facility may look dated on first view but it is the cleanest and most caring I have ever seen. Don’t judge a book by its cover. I have worked in various nursing homes and never saw a cleaner, better cared for facility. My brother went in here at a young age and was very upset. The staff in every area treated him with kindness and respect. Rehab did a fantastic job trying to make him more mobile and functional. Social work and administration were caring. Nursing took good care of him and everyone was pleasant and happy. Even the food was good. He stayed clean and comfortable. He was able to get information from his nurses. I thank them for his excellent care.
