John Days of Shelby Roofing has been great to work with. We first called him out to determine if our leaking gutters just needed a cleaning or needed to be replaced. He was not able to come out when he first said he would be there, but he texted to let us know that. When he came out the next day, he got up on the ladder and cleared out the worst of the clogs and said he wouldn't charge since he canceled on us (and this probably saved our butts when we had an epic multi day rain storm a few days later). He let us know the gutters should be replaced but could probably hang on a bit longer if we weren't ready. We had another company suggest we replace them too, so that assessment seemed legit. His price to replace the gutters was reasonable and less than the other company (which was a more corporate chain type place). Additionally, his discussion about how to pitch the gutters showed him to be very knowledgeable. We had the gutters replaced by John a few months ago and they've worked great. We haven't had water in our basement since. Then a few weeks ago we called him out to cap the ends of the decorative flashing that we noticed was peeling. After assessing the job he came out a few weeks later as discussed. He also had the good thought to check the other less visible end of the house and capped that end because insulation was showing. And he did it for a reasonable price. I highly recommend John Days and Shelby roofing - it's always nice when you find a go to contractor who is dependable, fair, and does good work!
