Dr. Sheffield is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and is a kind of doctor that goes above and beyond for her patients. Even after we moved an hour away, we keep coming back to her. Tried so many other ophthalmologists, but couldn't find anyone close to Dr. Sheffield's standards and care.

I had been going to an eye doctor that I really liked but the hours and location weren't so convenient. After reading about Dr. Sheffield I decided to give her a try. She is located within For Eyes who had done a great job with my previous prescriptions. I can't say the same for my last prescription filled at a major eyeglass center in a local mall. They were totally unusable. I found Dr. Sheffield to be extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She took the time to explain everything and even examined my last prescription lenses and understood why I could never use them. Her staff is just as friendly and helpful. They contacted my insurance company beforehand to make sure everything was covered. After my exam I found a great selection of frames at For Eyes.
Update: After having gone to Dr. Sheffield for my eye exam and paying a copay for two additional tests I had done while in the office I received another bill from my insurance company. Apparently, because they found a potential issue when I went in they were billing me for what should have been my free yearly eye exam. When I contacted their office the person that does the billing stated this is how they bill. My insurance company also contacted them and was informed I did not have an eye exam. Funny, if I did not have an eye exam how I was able to receive new prescriptions for eyeglasses. I guess their approach to billing is that of a colonoscopy. Your free exam is covered by insurance unless we find something. However, the other eye doctor I went to never had this policy and while their hours may be somewhat of an inconvenience it looks like I will be going back. Dr. Sheffield is an excellent doctor but the billing department needs to handle things differently.

Dr Sheffield is such a very good through dr. She is the real deal. She’s been my eye dr for 8 yrs and will my my dr until she retires. She really cares about her patients it’s not about the $. She loves what she does and it shows. Great job dr. We notice❤️
