Pros: Dr Shamsi has in house therapists that he recommends you to work with. These therapists share their notes with Dr Shamsi. This makes the visits with Dr Shamsi more effective. He's able to go off the notes to make sure you are being prescribed the most effective medicine for you. The therapist he recommended for me is amazing and she has helped me work through so many things that have helped me gain the confidence I've been lacking to do amazing things with my life.

Cons: His office staff can be rude and short with you (the office manager is amazing though). But I'm still giving this business 5 stars because of the life changing benefits I have been able to walk away with that has changed my life permanently.

I have been seeing Dr. Shamsi for close to two years now and I feel like the medication regimen he put me on has finally stabilized me from a crippling anxiety disorder that kicked in at the start of the Pandemic. He is very knowledgeable about the medicines and very open to fluctuating the dosages, that got me settled into the right amount within a fairly quick time period. The office staff is really great with scheduling appointments, handling refills, and if needed, getting Dr. Shamsi's attention for any mental health emergencies.

I have been dealing with Dr. Shamsi for well over a decade. He has always listened to my concerns and worked with me to improve my quality of life. I would definitely recommend him to anyone seeking psychiatric treatment.

Dr. Shamsi has been my psychiatrist for a while now, and I cannot say enough good things about him as a practitioner. He is a rare doctor in that he is cognizant of your time and not always running behind, asks poignant questions, and truly listens to you as a patient.

A majority of the office staff are fine, but there have been a few hiccups along the way that can make things more frustrating and complicated than they need to be. Some of his staff are also not the most pleasant to interact with. Joan on the other hand, one of the individuals who works in the office management, is truly a gem at Dr. Shamsi's practice. She is very down to earth, patient, compassionate, and does not make me feel uncomfortable in any way about needing a psychiatrist. It goes a long way in making me feel comfortable as a patient.

Overall, I cannot recommend Dr. Shamsi enough as a psychiatrist. My life has truly changed for the better as a result of his expertise to helping me get my mental health back under control.
