Sensei Richard Robinson is an amazing instructor. His knowledge and experience are very evident when he teaches.
I have trained with Richard Robinson sensei for over 20 years, and have visited his dojo when I am in PA many, many times. This is a great place to learn and train in martial arts. Robinson sensei has Black Belts in multiple styles, and is a most talented instructor in Nami ryu Aiki Heiho. The folks in the dojo are great to train with. There are a handful of instructors who share decades of experience in this dojo. If you like swords, jujutsu, and samurai lore, and live in the Philly/Ft. Washington area, you want to check out the River of Life Martial Arts & Wellness Center.
Robinson Sensei has tons of experience. He has done a bunch of martial arts and currently teaches practical Jujutsu and traditional Japanese swordsmanship. The facility is great and has a ton of different spaces. I haven't trained with the other groups there, but everyone is super friendly and this place really has a community vibe.
River of Life is a phenomenal center, for both children and adults. Just an absolute amazing dojo. The Senseis are wonderful instructors - in all senses - spiritually and physically. The best martial arts school I have been to.
I've had the pleasure of knowing and training with Rick Robinson Sensei for a number of years. He is a fantastic instructor with a wealth of experience and he invests heavily in his students. Another huge plus is the well-rounded program of many disciplines taught by top instructors. It's hard to find another place that offers great instruction all under one roof.
