Good spot for park access. Can usually park on the hill across the street. Also the cafe here is a good spot after a run (when it's open)
This beautifully preserved stone built dwelling was constructed in 1707 by German immigrant William Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse is known for having established the first paper mill in the American Colonies at this particular site. The Rittenhouse home is open to the public for tours on certain days of the week.
Fascinating homestead with early anglo-American history. Paper was imported until the papermill was built in 1690.
Pretty much here! History, our brave history, it was so natural heroes!!!
Visited this beautiful place in September 2017. To walk in the footsteps of my relatives was awesome and to see how they lived was beyond belief. If you are a descendent of William Rittenhouse this is a must on your bucket list. Chris Owens is a fantastic host and tour guide for Historic RittenhouseTown.
