Just finished a project with these guys that I had in mind for awhile but did not have the skills nor tools to complete on my own. It was a really great experience working with them and having one-on-one instruction. I got to use some awesome pro equipment for the first time and even purchased the raw materials that I needed right there at the shop. I learned so much in just a few sessions and walked away with a completed piece that I'm so proud of - something I couldn't have done without their help and expertise. If you've been thinking about a woodworking project but not sure where to start, give this place a call!
I had little to no experience using a table saw that I bought but wanted to learn the basics for safety and accuracy to create my own custom frames for my artwork. I signed up for a one-on-one lesson with Adam and the experience was great. I learned so much in the time I had with him and left feeling very comfortable that I can use it safely. I would definitely join as a member if I lived closer and could make it to the interesting classes they have. The facility is well stocked with tools and supplies for pretty advanced woodworking. It's a gem in Philadelphia if you have any interest in woodworking!
The two day woodturning class was phenomenal, covering everything I needed to know and letting me get hands on quickly. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, classes are well structured and well organized. The facility and equipment are well maintained and kept clean. I fully intend to return, possibly as a member.
My husband and I have been wanting to check out the classes here for a while and finally took the class for making your own cutting board. It was fantastic! I was pretty nervous about using some of the equipment beforehand but our instructor Adam, really make us all feel comfortable and safe and led us through the process thoroughly. He was super knowledgeable and patient. We will certainly be back! I really recommend this for anyone wanting to try woodworking!
I spent a year as a member and loved every second I spent in this shop. The staff were available when I needed some expert guidance or input. The shop wasn’t overly crowded. I was always impressed with how clean the shop was. 5/5. If you’re exploring this new hobby or are a seasoned expert this spot will meet your needs.
