Pennwood Crossing Manufactured Home Community

My son made an offer on a trailer at Pennwood and I was a little skeptical after reading all of the negative reviews of the office personnel there.

I had questions on the lot rental and reached out to the office twice today.

I know they were busy because I couldn't get through the first couple of tries.
I finally got through and Tina answered. Tina was professional, more than helpful and gave me a good comfort level.
Not sure what all of the negative reviews are about but don't let them deter you.
Even on my second call, a colleague of Tina's answered the phone and was very professional and answered in a friendly manner. She put Tina right on the phone and again, our interaction was very professional and she cared to give me the information I needed. I did not feel like I was a burden to her.
Appearance wise, this a nice community and it is quite apparent that ABC is cleaning up where prior management seemingly failed.

My husband, daughter, and I currently reside there. In the beginning, they were a bit nit picky about the dumbest things, but we turned a run down home into something of beauty, that's for sure! In the beginning when we went looking at fixer upper homes, the staff was anything but pleasant. The property manager showed absolutely NO enthusiasm when showing us homes and made it seem like we were bothering her.

I try to avoid the office as much as possible. I can say that the last 2 times I've had to contact them for something they were not rude at all so maybe they are starting to realize that being rude isn't going to get you anywhere (hopefully). I have to say I am SO GLAD they threw out some of the "TRASH" residing in the community. They have placed a beautiful new double wide at the corner of our street & there are also a few other brand new homes in the area that are really nice. The lot rent does go up every year, maybe $10 per year. Compared to a 2 bedroom apartment paying almost $1100/month, the $743 we pay really isn't bad at all. Where we live is very quiet. I feel as though we made a good choice moving here. I really like it. As long as you pay your rent on time and follow the rules, you won't have any trouble. Maybe the occasional attitude from someone who doesn't feel like working that day at the office, but other than that it's really not that bad. :)
