(February 13, 2021, 11:22 am)Mushrooms is the BEST place in the South Jersey / Philadelphia area to buy bisque (ceramics) to glaze or paint. HUGE SELECTION of pieces, large and small for all seasons and holidays year round.
On weekdays their prices are very competitive.. but on Saturdays all of the bisque is half off!!!
The owner, Gary, pours and creates the bisque pieces, so they can be priced so well.. plus I LOVE that I can buy these pieces knowing they are made in the USA!
Mary has been working there for decades and knows everything about glaze, paint, etc and gives great ideas on how to embellish the pieces to make them extra unique and beautiful.
This old warehouse is truly a ceramic wonderland.. a MUST for anyone who loves to paint ceramics (and great to keep the kids busy and creative). -
