This place is not bad. The building is very nice, the hallways and rooms are very clean. The reception is welcoming and attentive. Occasionally some unsightly things like a random bag of garbage just sitting by the elevator for hours. Or some damage to the elevator buttons that have been that way for weeks. But these things really are minor.
Normally I'm a Hilton guy, and try to stay under that umbrella. I veered due to the location of this facility. There is a Homewood nearby, but it's a little too far from my office. Literally only a mile or so more but it matters. There's a Hampton literally next door, but it tends to be more expensive and has less value. So I started booking here at Staybridge, I've stayed three nights over various occasions. Never disappointed. I mean it's not fantastic, but it's pretty good.
Just to see if I've been missing out I stayed at the Hampton directly next door a couple nights ago. Was horribly disappointed. So I've been making the right choice staying at staybridge.
The breakfast is not bad, comes with hot options. The coffee is mediocre, but it's available all day. There's some decent things in the snack bar.
Only downside is the pool has been empty and drained and not available last several times I've been there. Indoor pool is usually one of the options that sway me towards booking at a location or not. Even though I choose a place with a pool, I usually never make it down to try it out. So just a warning that the pool is probably not going to be available at this hotel for a while. But I'm not sure.
I think this hotel is a tad overpriced in this location. But compared to the options, it's been worth it.
