John James Audubon Center was the perfect place to have our ceremony and reception. Shelley, our event coordinator, was AMAZING! She worked around the clock to answer questions and help us in planning our day. She laid everything out for us so that we could clearly see how the event was going to look and what was going to happen to the minute. During the event she went around to us and all family members to make sure we were happy and taken care of. The Audubon team even helped repurpose our flowers when our florist was unable to. They were very easy to work with and we would highly recommend anyone looking for this type of venue!!

Date of visit: Sunday 10 July 2022. This was my first time visiting the Audubon Center at Mill Grove in Montgomery County Pennsylvania. Its location is very easy to find off of Route 422. The center, which opened in 2019, offers the visitor an education about birds and why they are important for the environment. With hands-on interactive displays, the center is perfect for visitors of all ages. The property has various trails of different lengths to experience nature and photograph birds. After my visit to the museum I rode my bike on the Audubon Loop Trail. The trail map says it is four miles and it truly was. It’s all paved but it is not all flat. There were many bikes and joggers out on the trail this day so watch yourself if you’re on a bike. There is plenty of parking available when visiting the center. No food or refreshments available but there is a gift shop. There are public restrooms both inside and a building outside. When exploring the grounds, check out J.J. Audubon’s home. The Audubon Center is highly recommended by me.

A beautiful oasis in the busy western suburbs of the Philadelphia region. In our only visit there was a wedding event outdoors and it appears to be a perfect for that. And of course, if you love birds and nature trails, this is the place to be.

Most of the reviews for this place were from people who either attended a wedding or had a wedding here. My review is strictly from the perspective of visiting the location because of its historical significance.

We spent about three hours visiting the museum and spent a short time on the trail. The museum itself is chock full of information about John Audubon and his contribution to the natural world. The information was well organized and very interesting. Most exhibits are interactive and I learned a lot. I’ve read a book about Audubon and have been a birder for a number of years and yet I found quite a bit that I did not know.

As you make your way through the museum they have a couple of short videos further reinforcing the information. As you make your way around you will find yourself in the gift shop where you will find books, toys, shirts, and lots of local wares.

After we finished in the museum we made our way to the trail which we took to see the house and went part way around the trail. It was a really hot day so we did not walk the entire trail but I will say the scenery was well worth anytime out there. It was nice to come outside after learning about various birds and use what I learned to help me identify the birds outside.

As someone with limited mobility I appreciated how accessible the museum and the bathrooms were. I was able to easily navigate the museum with my scooter. They had a separate bathroom that was easy to get in and out of. The outside areas were well paved which made it easy to use my scooter.

This is a well groomed and beautiful location. The museum is top notch and well worth the visit.

As a wedding venue, I couldn't imagine anything being done better or a more beautiful location. Last month, my (now) wife and I had our wedding here. Both of us are passionate about wildlife (especially birds) and the outdoors, and this was the first and only venue that we visited in person! We knew that the grounds, the historic (but not too rustic) barn, the beautiful (optionally) open-air pavilion, and seeing Audubon's home was the perfect place for us. We are so grateful to the staff for making everything so genuinely wonderful on our special day, it was simply beautiful..and the venue deserves every bit of this 5-star review.
