My family lost someone special to us on 7/3/22. That someone was my grandmother. This funeral home was recommended by someone and I am so thankful they gave their information. My family worked with Joe Schlupp and he was amazing. The first day we saw him there was so many of us that I am pretty sure it was overwhelming. Joe was amazing every step of the way during this difficult time. There was a mix up with the coffin we picked not being available and with the prayer cards. Joe was able to get us an even more beautiful coffin for the same as the one we initially picked and got our prayer cards situation taken care of. The day of my grandmother's service I was amazed on how beautiful she looked. She actually looked like she was sleeping. I had to tell Joe thank you because they made her look so beautiful. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who lives in Philly that is looking for a place to handle their love ones final moments. Thank you Joe and team for what you did for my grandmother. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Losing a parent is beyond difficult and heartbreaking. However, fleuhr's team went above and beyond from the initial call. They were professional, knowledgeable and empathetic, even after the services. The arrangements were more complicated than normal, as my dad was being buried at a national Cemetery and was well loved throughout the city and community; Many people wanted to be involved. Anythony took care of everything, from the smallest details and was very patient with the many phone calls and arrangements. The day of the services he kept everything rolling and on time, as they were many facets and a strict timeline. He was extremely efficient and respectful, allowing us time to grieve and keeping everything on track. Joyce was incredibly compassionate, supportive and available for all our needs. I couldn't imagine going with anyone else. I HIGHLY recommend Fluehr's. My family is so beyond grateful. 🙏

There are not enough amazing things to say about Anthony and the amazing staff at Fluehr and Sons on Cottman! Going in not knowing exactly how to handle all the arrangements, Anthony really took us under his wing and made the entire process easy and really was sincere and empathetic especially when it came to our loss of my father. I highly recommend them and if you’re looking to make a hard and tragic loss turn into an amazing celebration of life… Fluehr’s is definitely the choice to make! They are terrific and extremely caring and professional!

This Funeral Home is truly beautiful and very big. There are many chairs folded away for extra people so that no one had to stand, and I like that about this place. The customer service was fantastic, and the organization outstanding. The only thing I did not like so much was towards the end of the service Rick was pacing the room like he was trying to get everyone to leave. I have been to many funerals and I have never seen this before so this came as a shocker to me. Other than that, however, everything was awesome, and they were very accommodating.

Our mother left this world on 04/28/17. She gave birth to three children including myself. It was our first experience with funeral arrangements. We were totally devastated as our mother's passing was completely unexpected. I found John Fluehr & Sons while searching funeral homes for our mother. The services rendered there were over the top! They took charge of everything and left nothing lacking. Joyce was superb, Rick was the take charge man. Their well thought out service proved the exceptional experience they have in the business.

I don't know the names of all the people who worked during the funeral service but, I can say without a doubt that every person who played a part that evening were very professional. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable and showed much compassion. Our mother looked ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!, she didn't look like a corpse. She looked incredibly natural which gave her the appearance of a live person who just happened to be sleeping where she was. I can't thank enough the person/s who worked on our mom. They made the viewing a lot easier to withstand. The pain for us was there but the beauty of the body made it a little more tolerable.

This funeral home deserves more than 5 stars. It is very big, very pretty, immaculately clean and well maintained. The family who runs the business deserve another 5 stars. Though I was initially hesitant about looking for funeral homes online and going on reviews, I am now very happy I did and found that the reviews I read were very true. I would highly, highly recommend John F Fluehr funeral home to everyone. They are truly the best!!!!!
