My husband and I were looking to purchase a kei van for our business. We were skeptical purchasing a van that we never saw in person or test drove. We were even MORE skeptical giving someone a deposit on said van and then trusting it would be delivered to us. I'm so happy to report that all of our fears were completely unfounded.

We reached out to Alex who responded promptly (anything within 24 hours is what I'd consider business etiquette and he beat that by FAR). He answered all of our (many) questions. Since we're 5 hours from their location in NJ, Alex did a video chat with us so he could walk us around the vehicle and show us all of the features. He took time to talk with us about the van - parts, maintentance, etc (we know practically nothing about these cars). He also had 2 of the best-looking assistants I've ever seen in my life (his pups-- I'm a dog-first kind of person and if you're good to your dogs, you're good people to me). He even got in and drove it around a bit so we could see that it was driving and not making any crazy noises. All of that is what I'd consider over and above. But wait, there's more...

Alex offered to deliver the van to us-- 5 hours away-- himself. He did as promised and delivered it to us within 3 days of that walk-around! Not only did he deliver it-- but he trailered it to our business which is in the city and not the easiest to navigate with a trailer (so he has some A-1 driving skills too). We were more than satisfied with the whole process and the price we paid, including the delivery cost.

Overall, Alex made the buying process super easy and put our concerns to rest. We'll likely be buying at least one more of these little beauties and will only consider buying from Alex. He not only has some very nice vehicles and very adorable helpers, but I'm very big on giving business to people who do things the right way.

TL:DR -- Alex is absolutely fantastic, knows his stuff, and cares about the customer experience. Don't hesitate to do business with him. I'm definitely impressed with him.

If you are taking the leap and importing a vehicle from Japan, these guys know what they are doing. The keyword is patience, I mean seriously the car is being brought over on a ship that JapStarr has no control over, plus they have to get it through customs. This stuff takes time and trust.

Alex was great to work with, he was responsive, and when he didn’t know the answer, he never gave up on me. You take a leap of faith when you pay cash down and expect the importer to do their job. Alex at Japstar did that and more. We had the van delivered down to Atlanta with white glove service and he was helpful with all the documentation. I would do it again! Thanks, Alex!!

Called to set an appointment to check out some of their cars. Mechanic was an hour late or so, but Alex happily showed me around and answered any questions I had, or showed me whatever was in the garage/warehouse. Their pricing was pretty honest considering the market. In hindsight cars didn't perfectly match the pictures on the website but wasn't terribly off.
