My brother’s burial was yesterday. We used the Dougherty Funeral Home for several immediate family members over the years they are highly priced. Their staff are exceptional and prepare their tasks with high regard except for one matter that I’ve addressed with them. During the wake at St. Ann’s Church, I asked for the microphone to be tested prior to the mass and was told that isn’t in Dougherty’s venue to do so. I again stressed that the microphone never works. As it turned out, the congregation COULD NOT hear the eulogy, nor the readings. Dougherty’s failure to accommodate my request needs to be addressed. I would suggest they provide a handheld microphone for the families’ use at any future events at St. Ann’s Church. The occasion is too important that Dougherty blatantly disregard this matter.

Everyone at Dougherty funeral home was amazing every step of the way while planning my mom’s funeral. Maria, Debbie and Angela were so caring and considerate both leading up to and on the day of the funeral. Everything was taken care of for us from start to finish. They made the process of planning mom’s funeral so easy at a time when everything seemed so difficult. Thank you so much to everyone at Dougherty for the beautiful tribute to our loving mom.

James Dougherty funeral home is a very caring, patient, and wonderful place when you are in need.from the two men that came to the house. They were very gentle and sympathic. To Rocco who was so helpful and understanding. I would highly recommend this funeral home 100%.

I recently lost my sister and mother within two weeks of each other. So I had experiences with the staff of James J. Dougherty Funeral Home twice in a very short time period. The first experience was extremely positive. As we planned my sister's funeral, they took into account the fragile health of my mother and offered suggestions for how we could make things easier for her. Shortly after my sister's death, my mother passed away. We returned to Dougherty Funeral Home and received the same compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and caring services. We never felt rushed. They took the time to discuss options, despite the fact that we had just been through the planning process with them. They were patient as we worked through issues with insurance and had staff available to help with any troubles we had with the insurance companies. I truly can not rate them high enough, if I could, I would give them ten more stars above the scale of five out of five! I highly recommend the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home.

At a difficult time the experience our family had with the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home was very professional and comforting. All of the staff was knowledgeable, patient, helpful and understanding throughout the entire process. But Dana in particular is just a blessing. Even with additional assistance needed a few months after the funeral she has gone above and beyond to make everything an easy process.
