Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy

Having a positive past experience with another Excel Physical Therapy (now known as Ivy Rehab) location, I decided to give this location a try and I'm really glad I did.

Back in the summer of 2020, I started experiencing sciatica caused by an old snowboarding injury. I didn't address it and ultimately threw out my back in early 2021. For a year, I only saw a chiropractor and while it allowed me to be more comfortable, I still experienced daily sciatica pain. After I started experiencing weakness in my legs, I saw an orthopedic surgeon who suggested PT.

Melissa at Ivy Rehab is an amazing physical therapist. As other reviews mentioned, she is knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. She helped me understand the science behind the treatment and exercises. She pushed me hard enough but also would ease up on days when I was in pain.

The facility is really nice too. The space is nice and open, bright, and clean. There were usually 1 or 2 other patients there and I never felt cramped.

It has been over 7 months since my treatment ended and I'm thrilled to say that I have only experience sciatica a handful of times since. Melissa gave me important parts of my life back... playing with my daughter, gardening and DIY projects around the house, and physical activities like hiking and bicycling. And I've finally been able to snowboard again for the first time in 3 years. All completely pain free! Thank you Melissa!

My experience at Excel Physical Therapy was wonderful. I had knee surgery on a Tuesday and was at the office for my first visit on Friday. I was extremely nervous and in pain but Melissa was patient, understanding, and very accommodating. She created a plan that that pushed me but did not discourage me to continue rehab. Since I could not drive during my rehab, my husband attended my sessions.Melissa made not only myself but also my husband feel very welcomed. If I could give a higher rating I would. Melissa not only worked on the rehab of my knee, she also gave me my confidence back. I would recommend Melissa to anyone.

After experiencing severe sciatica pain for 3 months I started physical therapy with Melissa at Springfield location of Excel. She was thorough, professional, caring and knowledgeable. Within several weeks I was back to gardening, exercising, and living a full life painfree. She provided me with an exercise program for home & detailed instruction.
The facility is lovely, atmosphere calm & patient centered, parking extremely convenient & care is personalized & professional. Can't recommend Melissa & her expertise enough! If I am ever in need of P.T. again this is where I will be heading!

Excellent experience! High marks for Excel Physical Therapy and director, Melissa Tighe. I recently required physical therapy after a rather debilitating knee injury. The initial consultation with Melissa was thorough, and she developed a comprehensive treatment plan to increase my strength and mobility, as well as protect against future injury. Over several weeks of sessions, she was clear in her instruction, encouraging, and made adjustments as was appropriate to my progress – which I might add was significant thanks to her expertise. I finished with a detailed post-treatment plan to continue strengthening. I recommend her and the clinic most highly, indeed!

Melissa, the Director , is just incredible. My husband spent 6 months in therapy with Melissa after a bilateral knee replacement (after a stroke the year prior) We have been to therapy before... After the stroke .......this is a big step up in quality, caring and success rate We highly recommend Excel and if you are in or around Springfield.....Melissa is a talented, passionate, super knowledgeable therapist. I can't even find the words to express how wonderful our experience with Excel has been. So glad we decided on them versus the other folks
