I had an internship there a while back and it was a great learning experience. The guy showed me around and told me about the different sections of the facility took me out to the field. The owner was a good guy and the other staff. Comfortable rates and hours to record. Overall nice place to be and in a nice area.
Forge Recording was a hidden gem, for me. My friends, who I hadn't seen in years, decided to grab our guitars and look for a rehearsal studio to jam and have a good time. It took me forever to find a rehearsal space near Montgomeryville, and I stumbled upon Forge, after extensive Google searching. However, after visiting their website and paying $60 for 2 hours, I hoped for the best.
My friends and I showed up on Saturday, and the only thing we brought were our guitars, one amp, and drumsticks. Forge took care of cymbals (an extra $10), and the staff kindly offered assistance and gave us a tour of the studio!
Needless to say, I extended our time to 4 hours ($120...cheap!!), and we made some righteous and awful noize :)
We'll be back the next time I visit PA, from California. Forge rocks!!
Highly recommend.Had a wonderful experience.
Sheldon is a first-class guy with first-class character who was extraordinarily accommodating.
Our engineer was friendly, fantastic and provide excellent recordings.
You won't be disappointed choosing Forge.
Not only is Forge Recording a notable recording studio, known for the team and talent that pass through the doors; it is a very clean, state of the art facility. The space of each room is comfortable and not overwhelming. The building has two kitchens that are well kept, and close enough to the rooms to enjoy a meal without eating where you record. The restrooms are clean as well.
The producer/engineer that I met with is very professional and a talented artist, which makes it all the more worthwhile to want to record my project at forge.
Thank you!
