I have lived in one of their properties for 2 years now and I see a lot or bad reviews and I personally am having a hard time understanding why. Are the property's perfect ? No, but u knew that when you moved in right ? Aside from that I have spoken to Christine on the phone numerous times and she is nothing but sweet professional and understanding. She has never given me a hard time and any time we make a maintenance call they are at your front door. Literally lol. They are very easy to deal with . The best thing with them is communication.we like them so much we are looking for a property of theirs in a different area because we want to stay with them . Tldurinf the pandemic they were even more amazing. Christine is a sweet heart and we are super grateful for her.
My management company, I have been renting 11 years from my landlord and the property management team is good
They respond to my needs in a timely fashion and whenever I need someone sent out my issues are handled promptly
I cannot say enough good things about the maintenance person. He's very knowledgeable and nice, knows what he's doing and fixes or replaces whatever needed to be looked at and even cleans up behind himself and his crew if it's a big job.
We have been with this realty company for two years and have had little no problems with them. Philadelphia has some old houses and Disston has definitely capitalized on that, plumbing, electrical, structural issues and all. That being said, ANY issues I have had with the property was quickly resolved within a few days time and the more serious issues were resolved within the same day. I had an issue that technically fell into the responsibility of the landlord but the landlord drug her feet, Disston quickly picked up the issue and handled it properly.
I am unsure why people seem to be upset for having a basement that leaks water when it's unfinished or a house that was built in 1920 having water leaks. The rent asked for our property from Disston is more than reasonable. I think we have a unicorn property in our neighborhood at this point.
I would give five stars but as someone else had commented, the maintenance people that come out definitely do quick fixes. You won't be getting a brand new roof or ceiling out of them.
All in all, Disston has been great with us and unless something happens during our move-out process, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for affordable living in the city.
