This morning I met with some of my peeps for a cup of coffee at Brown Dog Cafe in Audubon. What a great place! I have been there before and pick this place because they have a lot of space both inside and outside. They have made a lot of changes since my last visit. They now serve Kismet Bagels, which I think are the best bagels I’ve ever tasted in my life (no joke), and carry Elixr Coffee which is pretty good, too. They still have a great assortment of other mouthwatering baked goods. The staff is always nice and accommodating. Definitely going back! I suggest you try it if you haven’t already.
The Brown Dog is a quaint little cafe’ located in an adorable section of Audubon where I felt that the shops were trying to maintain an aesthetic appeal to the tiny section of the neighborhood. The cafe’ had a nice decor and was spacious. I liked how it was dog friendly, even having a doggy bowl for water and some biscuits in a jar (they were out of biscuits when I visited but I didn’t bring my dog anyhow). The service was friendly, considerate, and fast and when my toddler dropped her danish the girl behind the counter was nice enough to give us a free replacement rather than charging us for another one.
It’s a cute spot with a quiet vibe. It’s worth checking out sometime!
Don't be surprised if the line is out the door for this hidden gem. Food, coffee, atmosphere are a dream weekend get away or a great weekday outing. All food is made to order and all cafe beverages are made with care. Order yourself a brew and relax for a little espace.
Spacious, cute cafe serving coffee and breakfast / lunch menu - indoor outdoor seating and wifi.
I had the iced tea and the chicken salad sandwich - both were great. They're currently doing a fundraiser for the local small business group - the T's are pretty nice!
Everyone was very kind, the coffee is delicious (had an El Salvador pour over), and the ambiance is very inviting. Spent time reading a book and found it so pleasant. Will be back!
