Black Run Preserve Trailhead - Parking

Great for hiking, trail running, and biking. Very dog friendly. You can spend an hour or a day here with so many trails to explore. Kettle Run Road is one of three parking areas with facilities (portapotties and trash bins) and trail maps. Kettle Run Road entrance has trails to explore on both sides of the road.

Expansive, well marked trails all easy to transverse on foot. Popular place and parking can be limited in nice weather. Excellent South Jersey single track for gravel / mountain biking, especially if you follow the REI marked trails in that area.

This is one of the best hiking trails in the area. There are many different routes to adventure from short to extra long day hikes. Nature is in full effect, you're either unlucky or being too loud if you don't come across Forrest animals. The only drawback is the flies, so dress prepared.

Fun hiking so close to Route 73 is a huge plus. The multiple walking options are much longer than the small parks in the area. The only downside is the lack of decent facilities. A Port-O-Potty is not ideal. Watch out for the quick-moving bicycles while hiking!

Parking exists, but could be shown both on Google Maps and on the web site. There is parking at the Kings Grant Trailhead (you can see the trail if you zoom into the Google map) and also a smaller parking area at the western trailhead. Don’t park along Kettle Run Road or in the triangular meridian. The web site also shows where the trails begin and almost all have small parking areas.
