Artisan Painting

I’ve done my own painting for the past 20 years of home ownership, mostly because of the belief that no one would approach it with the level of detail and care that I would myself. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and have very high expectations (of myself and others).

I just completed construction of a media center and bookshelves in our basement and originally planned to finish myself, however I decided to hire Artisan after following them for a bit and seeing several contractors that I hold in high regard use them. From the first interaction through to the final product, I could not be more please with their level of professionalism. Mike and Jon were great to deal with and Kevin absolutely killed it on the finished product. Looking very much forward to working with them in the future now that I found painters I can trust, cares as if it was their own home, and overall, just good down to earth people.

I cannot recommend Mike and the Artisan Painting team enough. They did a fantastic job painting the interior of our house and treated our home with the utmost care. They were meticulous in both the painting and restoration work they did for us. Mike’s attention to detail and thoroughness extended throughout the process. He had creative ideas about how to improve our space and give it a fresh look that we would never have come up with on our own. He was friendly, punctual, responsive, and even connected us with local contractors to help with other projects. Mike and the team completed basically the whole project while we were out of town and we felt completely comfortable leaving our home in their hands. We had previously received a quote from Artisan for painting the exterior of our house and when we let Mike know that we chose to go with a big local company instead (their estimate was a few thousand dollars lower), he was completely understanding. Our experience with the other company was really bad—poor quality of painting and their team was not respectful of us/our home—it would have been well worth the money to have hired Artisan. Lesson learned! We would happily work with Artisan Painting again and would recommend them to anyone.

We have used Artisan for several projects now, ranging from smaller interior jobs to a massive exterior overhaul that included extensive carpentry work in addition painting. We could not be happier with Mike, Jon and their entire team. From the start, Mike came out several times so that we could go over expectations for the scope of work, as well as helped us to make smart color choices. They worked well with the other trades that were at our property. They cleaned up everyday, leaving it better than when they came. Nate is a very talented carpenter. He was able to repair or replace the trim on our historic house, while matching it to what was already there. Mike provided updates during our project keeping us aware of the budget and work being done. They truly went above and beyond, building a small chipmunk house for our kids, as well as making a new address sign for our front yard to match our new exterior. In addition to Mike, Jon and Nate, Kim, Kelly, Owen, Bill and the rest of their crew were wonderful to have around for close to two months. They were professional, respectful of our property, great workers, and honestly just fun to have around! We highly recommend Artisan Painting and will definitely use them again.

We used Artisan painting for our master bath and bedroom refresh and we could not be happier with their work. They made the project so easy- from start to finish. You really can’t find a nicer group of people to do work in your home. We will definitely be using them again for future projects!

I could not be happier with Artisan and the job they did on painting our kitchen cabinets. It was wonderful working with the whole team - Mike was very responsive and the team was on time, professional, thorough, and kept our space clean. Communication of the whole process was excellent as well. Highly recommend them to anyone!
