Acosta Regis MD

I always thought I had very good self awareness. But after working with Dr. Acosta, sometimes I wonder if he knows me better than I know myself! He is really great in the mental health space. He interacts with patients (well, with me, anyway) with a down-to-earth and caring approach. I have had depression and anxiety issues for most of my life. I thank God to have gotten an appointment and now under the care of Dr. Acosta. We always laugh at least once during every visit. I’ve tried many other physicians and in retrospect, many were “wack jobs.” So grateful for Dr Acosta and his treatments. If you’re on the fence…. GO! I hope you can get in to see him.

Dr. Acosta is the best around. I have had long term issues and suffered several losses recently. Dr. Acosta listens and cares and is very kind and patient. He has helped me tremendously. I don't know where I'd be now if not for Dr. Acosta.

I starting reading some of the posts/reviews on Dr. Acosta, and I think they have the wrong guy or something. I've been going to him for about a year, give or take, and he helped me out immensely, therapy and with medication. Doesn't sound like him at all, he's a really NICE GUY, professional and is extremely helpful to my problem. Even his office staff is great! What prompt me to do this, yesterday I was their last appointment. I got a ride from my wife, she dropped me off and went to run errands. About 15 minutes goes by and the the office girl Theresa starts leaving and she is locking the door. She asked me why I am waiting and I told her my wife dropped me off. She opens the door back up and turns the lights on and told me to go back in and sit down. It's hot and humid out, I want you to wait inside (it was also sprinkling off and on too) I am 62 years old and I never experienced that before and probably never will. This is my real name..............

I saw Dr. Acosta for several years and the thing that stood out to me the most was his faith in humanity and his advice of forgiveness. He’s definitely well educated and knowledgeable about many things which made talking and opening up easier for me. I’m still working on my stuff but I’m not the person I was. Another thing I valued was that he doesn’t blow smoke up anyone’s “nose”. He is not going to simply prescribe stuff to make it all go away. He gets you to see you have to do the work.
I’m a pretty hardheaded person but he got through. I respect his opinions.
His office staff are also awesome. Very professional and great people skills. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Acosta has always taken time to listen to what I had to say and made me feel like he cared about my thoughts and concerns & his staff is incredibly kind and understanding! His sense of humor and down-to-earth personality really helps with the doctor anxiety I tend to get sometimes. Growing up my mom always told me to form my own opinions of people instead of judging them based on what I hear from other people and I'm so glad I decided to start seeing Dr. Acosta instead of listening to a few negative google reviews. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a psychiatrist!
