Aberdeen Audiology

Although I had been recommended hearing aids before, I was reluctant to try them because I didn't know what I was missing. As a first time hearing aid user, I had so many questions regarding my options. Establishing care with Aberdeen Audiology was the best decision I could have made regarding my hearing health! Dr. Goyne took the time to understand my listening needs and presented appropriate options. His recommendations were spot on and instantaneously I was able to hear sounds that I had not heard in years. I recognize now that my hearing loss was the reason behind my family's 'mumbling' and the church speaker isn't broken! I also appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, as well as the unwavering professionalism of the entire Aberdeen staff. My only regret is that I should have done this sooner. We've scheduled my wife's hearing aid appointment in a few weeks so I can turn down the TV volume.

I've now purchased my second pair of hearing aids from here and I cannot tell you how delighted I am. Even better i recently went to Florida for business and though I might have an issue with one so I visited a local Audiologist. She was kind of amazed. She said they were perfectly matched for my hearing loss. When I told her they were fitted using real-ear technology she got really excited because only about 20%-30% of practicing audiologist do such fitting. Look on the internet and you'll see it is highly recommended so I was really comforted to learn my hearing aids were fitted properly. Dr. Goyne knows what he is doing.

Dr. Goyne is technically a terrific medical professional, who also clearly understands the critical role that hearing, or lack thereof, plays in a patient's quality of life. I am currently trying hearing aids with the latest technology; if I decide in favor of these hearing aids they will be my third set from Aberdeen Audiology. Dr. Goyne has patiently explained the features and benefits so that together we were able to set achievable expectations if I decide to make a change. At my request, Dr. Goyne has always explained the latest technological improvements in the industry but has never put pressure on to upgrade. When I upgraded from my first pair, Dr, Goyne help me to donate the old set to a local non-profit whose mission is to help the elderly maintain their quality of life. I have been very proactive in referring potential clients to Dr. Goyne; he is that good!

Dr. Goyne is one of those people you can easily build a relationship with. Unlike going to my primary care doc, he actually remembers who I am, what my challenges are, and where I am in your progress. I am 62 years old and came to Aberdeen Audiology after already wearing hearing aids for a few years. I have mild to moderate hearing loss across higher frequencies but mainly need hearing aids to help relieve the tinnitus that I experience. After having a hearing test there a pair of Phonak aids was suggested. The Phonaks work well but the attention that I have received from Mr.Goynes to program them is what has really made the difference. I've had several meetings with him and have received great treatment.
