Alex was a wonderful resource and support system at our delivery at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She was instrumental in my having the delivery that I wanted in the hospital. She educated us in decisions that we might have to make, while giving us the space to make those decisions that were best for us. She came to the hospital during active labor and was a great coach for position changes during pushing. The doctor and nurses were very happy to work with her, and they acted as a team for a successful delivery. I'm so thankful for her knowledge and kindness during such an important life event.

Working with Alex was such a terrific experience. There are two key things that made Alex a truly invaluable support system for my second pregnancy: first, she is incredibly empathetic and kind, immediately putting me at ease and providing a lot of reassurance. Second, she is a wealth of resources and information, always able to provide evidence based research on pregnancy, delivery and post partum care. I would absolutely recommend working with her as a doula and am so glad she was with me on this journey!

Working with Alex was such a gift through the end of my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. This was my first child, and I had so much anxiety about the birth process going into it, but Alex was able to provide so much comfort and information, it made the whole process much more smooth and enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend her!

Alex is the best! We met with her and a few other doulas before making our decision. She shared a lot of great information from the beginning even before I hired her, which was very helpful as a first time mom. Between that, her true desire for my labor and delivery to be what I wanted, and her awesome personality, it was a no brainer. We met twice before the big day and she helped us plan out how we wanted things to go (as much as you can plan) and helped us understand all of our options. She was readily available by phone and text with all my questions (mostly…am I in labor?! What do I do?!). Once we went to the hospital and they confirmed I was in fact in active labor, she made her way over and made the experience as pleasant as it could be. She helped me try different tactics and positions to ease labor pain and help baby descend. She helped me make decisions as I was faced with different options. While my labor and delivery didn’t turn out as planned, Alex was there every step of the way to help me process and understand my birth. Highly recommend! Oh! And she took pictures for us during the labor and after baby arrived!

I contacted Alex early on in my pregnancy. As a first time mom I had a lot of anxiety due to previous concerns and even after the first phone interview I felt calmer and more confident in my journey ahead. Alex stood by me through the whole pregnancy and birth. She helped talked me through appointments and helped me prepare for the birth that I wanted. She provided many many resources in addition to support with any questions or concern I had. I had a very long labor and she stayed by my side the whole time and helped guide me and my husband through it. Even when unplanned factors came into play she remained calm and helped us make the best decisions. And she even stayed after the birth of my daughter to make sure we were OK. There's so much that is thrown at you during a pregnancy and it's nice to have a person outside of the medical staff to lean on. And additionally it helps to have someone else in the room to delegate and converse with the labor and delivery staff so my husband and I could focus.
To this day we are still friends. And i plan to have Alex by our side for all future babies.
